Ross Halfin... band / gig photography

I have become quite interested in Band and Gig photography recently, also because I have seen many photos that look creative and use a shallow depth of field.
Ross Halfin is a band photographer who has photographed some of the best artists in the music industry. He originally wanted to be a painter and was an avid fan of gigs, he began sneaking in his camera and sent it off to many magazines and they started using his work and he built his career from there.
Talking to Meg Hope has made me more interested in this area.

Ross Halfin's images:

 Arctic Monkeys

 Bob Marley

 Prodigy

He also photographs the bands in a studio environment or in a portrait style which seems like a very interesting area of photography.
